Scratch Goes to School

Much of the early use of Scratch took place in homes and after-school settings, such as libraries and community centers. But Scratch is increasingly used in schools -- sometimes in computer-science and technology-studies classes, but also in math, social-studies, science, art, and other classes.

A Scratcher named Wodunne created this project for his middle-school social-studies class in which they were studying Rapa Nui, the island off of South American (also known as Easter Island). In the spirit of SimCity, the project simulates the local economy and culture of RapaNui. Use the arrow keys to move the character, use the space bar to take actions.
