GREEN September 23 & 24, 1995 Great Barrington, Massachusetts (kicks off 4
pm Sat)
Primary Productions proudly welcomes you to our 1995 east coast summer
extravaganza. 22 hours of sheer sonic bliss in a 1000 acre outdoor New
England location, will ensure summer's end will be remembered. Over 30 dj's
and live performances descend upon the green hills of Great Barrington for
this autumn solstice celebration, and we guarantee you will be amazed! The
celebration begins at 4 pm and continues on through the night until 2 pm the
next day. All attractions and acts have been 100% confirmed with the Primary
guarantee. Make sure you reserve the whole weekend!
About the location...Green will be held at the Butternut Ski resort in Great
Barrington, MA, and we are grateful to the local community for granting us
the entertainment license to proceed with the event - this will not be
stopped. In the rural Berkshire mountains only 2.5 hours north of NYC, the
estate is located on the fringe of the town and consists of over 1000 acres
of green fields perfect for this type of event. Fully equipped with clean
bathrooms and concession stands as well as first aid and support services,
the Butternut organization is fully involved in trying to make this as
enjoyable and convenient as possible!
About the production...An outdoor main stage creates the focus of the event
supported by extensive intelligent lighting displays, outdoor water-cooled
skyward bound lasers, and the Terry Hanley WOODSTOCK special! The two big
top tents are supported by equally impressive sound and lighting
demonstrations, enhanced by a Melon Dezign outdoor performance, smoking
scaffold towers, artistic decoration & more...
About the attractions...Beginning at 4 pm with the ambient dub sunset
barbecue and hosted by Project X Magazine, we welcome you to come view the
site as the darkness falls. For your pleasure there will be the famous
promoters dunk tank (dunk your promoter!). The Cleveland sound system tent,
fully stocked food and drink concessions, smart bars, clothing and record
store bazaars, a custom built life-size stonehenge replica on the hill,
paraphernalia vendors, host tents, top of the world chill zone, and
beautiful views of the compound. Also jugglers, drummers, and many other
festival attractions will help provide your entertainment throughout the
weekend.
Some things to remember...The event is outdoors, please come prepared (ie
bug spray, warm clothes, blankets). Do not come to camp, there are no
facilities. Once inside the compound all exits are final. No readmission.
All concessions proposals must be cleared seven days prior to the event,
please fax 617-450-0775. Please respect the environment, trash receptacles
everywhere. Fliers are not permitted inside the compound, you will be
designated an entrance tent to promote. On site first aid and info tents are
