Artificial Intelligence Researcher

Overview

I am a researcher at the MIT Media Lab and an MIT Connection Science ‎Fellow.‎

For the past 20 years, my career has been dedicated to the research and development of Artificial Intelligence. My approach is centered on rigorous theoretical analysis of decentralized and scalable AI methods, aimed at discovering new insights and opportunities for improving AI systems and their applications. I am committed to advancing the field of AI by creating systems that are ethical, robust, and accessible to all.

I have published three books on the theory and applications of Artificial Intelligence as well as over 80 scientific papers and over 20 patents.

During 2022 I founded Metha.ai, a company that uses Artificial Intelligence to boost dairy and cattle farmers' prodctuvity while drastically reducing their GHG emissions.

Professional Teaching Experience

As a lecturer, I have taught courses in Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Computability Theory, Digital Systems Design, ‎Algorithms in Graph Theory, and Data Structures. Additionally, I have supervised dozens of student graduation projects in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing, ‎Intelligent Systems and Machine Learning.‎ ‎

Research Statement

In my research, I aim to develop innovative Artificial Intelligence solutions that drive breakthroughs in diverse fields, including finance, national security, transportation, and biology. My approach centers on a rigorous theoretical analysis of decentralized and scalable AI methods, with the goal of uncovering new insights and opportunities for improving AI systems and their usage. Through my work, I hope to contribute to the ongoing advancement of the field and to create AI systems that are not only powerful, but also ethical, robust, and accessible to all.
