i think i was born at some point, though i don't really remember it. apparently, i was a lucky kid -- a lung collapsing and kidneys failing didn't stop me, and i don't think i could really ask for better parents. i grew up in a small town in southwest louisiana (and i really do mean small).

somehow, though, i made it to and through MIT undergrad, and now i'm working on my master's with the future of learning group at MIT's media lab.

my background is in mechanical engineering (S.B from MIT -- 2005), although i usually consider myself more of an artist. i'm not sure. artist... engineer... it's all the same thing to me. i draw. comics, mainly. but other things, too. some of the stuff is here (on this site), although there's more to be scanned. i also have started making sculptures -- mainly kinetic sculptures.

i also play bass guitar in a band called the hong kong regulars... a band that you should follow passionately and tell all your friends about.
