This is usually a good indicator of who I feel at the end of the day (and sometimes, at the start of the day, too.)
Nice to meet you! If you've visited my other pages, you probably have some idea of what I'm interested in who I am. This page is really just to fill the gaps in a little.
Generally, I'm 6' tall, and right now weigh just a bit too much (yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm fixing that.) Have to get back to the lean and mean me... I'm the typically blind computer person, and am completely useless without my glasses. Though, thank goodness, I'm not one of those coke-bottle wearers. My weirdest feature is this #$@!^* hair that I inherited from my dad. Some people have straight hair. Some people have wavy hair. Some people even have curly hair. I have something that closely resembles a Brillo® pad - it's dark brown, and really tangled when I let it grow (which I don't, for that reason). The funky thing is, it sheds water like nothing. Little weird, eh?
Anyway, I'm a generally outgoing, gregarious person. According to the on-line Keirsey Temperament Sorter, I'm an ENTP, which is fairly rare. The descriptions are faily accurate, I feel.
I'm most identifiably of Irish/Swedish descent, though there is alot of English, French-Canadian, and even some American Indian thrown in there. Basically, I'm the typical American mutt and we have an awful time tracing my family tree back more than 3 generations.
The one thing I've retained from my heritage is love of Irish liquors and beers. I'm definitely a Guinness man, though I definately love Bailey's Irish Creme, too.
I generally love playing sports, but unfortunately I've been far to lax in this department for the last 3 years, which is why I'm in the state I'm in. Doin' somethin' about that, though.
I've been a competive swimmer most of my life (for something like 16 years), and I'll be doing it again this fall, so if you're in the Masters' program somewhere in New England, I'll be seeing you! I prefer long distance (1650 / 1500m and the 400 IM ) and swimming really satisfies my masochistic urges. I'm a pretty decent Ex-Div III swimmer, and if you're interested, here's some of my best times,
Besides swimming, I also enjoy soccer, particularly in muddy fields. Badminton and volleyball are also fun. So's biking. The one sport I absolutely hate is running. I can't stand the bordom. (Funny, I can do it in a pool, but not out on the road...)
