This project has been on the list for some time now - take an old Vespa and turn it into a zippy electric scooter. Below are pictures which mark the start of a long journey governed by time and money. The long term goal other than having a really cool scooter - is to develop a kit that enables people to do similar conversions without MIT resources. From the back of the envelope - it looks like the bike will have a 30-40 mile range and reach around 45 mph for top speed.
