Below is a CNC milling machine, which is a major workhorse in any decent metal shop. I put the machine together a few years ago in an attempt to turn a conventional milling machine into a computer controlled one. I can safely say that this is one of the coolest investments of resources I have ever embarked on. Being able to turn CAD drawings into real parts is close to magic in amazingness and has proven to be the backbone of many projects since.
