Toy Symphony Music Shapers

The Music Shapers are squeezable fabric-covered spheres that let players reshape existing music and generate their own.

This was a continuation of previous work by Maggie Orth, who designed the first generation of music shapers and who also created the external fabric design for this version. I was responsible for the electronics, internal physical design, sensing system, and I implemented the mappings for Tod Machover's Toy Symphony piece

Two other composition were created for the shapers: Nature Suite by Jean-Pascal Beintus, and Gestures by Hugo Solís García and Natasha Sinha.
