Feedback "shakuhachi"

The Feedback "shakuhachi" sounds a bit like a wooden flute. A small speaker is attached to one end of a large plastic tube, while a small microphone is attached to the other. Between the microphone and the speaker is a lowpass filter with a variable cutoff and resonance, conveniently in the form of a Korg Kaoss pad. By controlling the cutoff and resonance of the filter, the player can get the different overtones of the tube to sound with a surprisingly flutelike tone.
