2014 • The reality of being a Board of Directors member of a $450M corporation with 400,000+ worldwide members is a fascinating and challenging experience. At the end of my 2-year term, it will be interesting to look back and see where I have been.

2013 • Retired from my day job after 30+ years.
2010 • elected 2011-2012 President of the IEEE Education Society. I have been able to do a tremendous amount of travel for IEEE.
2007-present • given a great annual budget for IEEE Education Society related activities.
2007-2009 • Quite a few articles published. A great deal of travel for the IEEE Education Society
2007 • Became quite involved in IEEE Region 1 activities. I'm the IEEE-Berkshire Section Chair, and the Chair of the Region 1 Pre-College Activity Committee.
2006 • Increased leadership role in the IEEE Education Society. Finished term on Executive Committee in IEEE-Boston, no longer involved.
2003 • Assumed leadership roles in the IEEE Education Society and in the Boston IEEE Section.
2003 • Awarded a 5-year National Science Foundation grant for $1.2M as Co-Principal Investigator to integrate and automated affective state detector into an Intelligent Tutoring Suystem.
2003 • First of several awards for accomplishments in engineering education. See IEEE's my resume on my personal Web site.
2000 • Awarded a 3-year National Science Foundation grant for $918K as Co-Principal Investigator to build a Learning Companion at the MIT Media Lab.
1999 • Appointed as a Visiting Scientist at MIT
