Orit
Zuckerman is a co-founder of a startup company, tikatok,
that enable children to write, illustrate and publish their own books.
Prior to that she got her Masters degree at MIT’s Media Laboratory,
in the Ambient Intelligence group, led by Prof. Pattie Maes.
Prior to joining the Media Lab, Zuckerman founded a startup company
that created a client-server platform for asynchronous group collaboration
over the Web. The company won several technology awards, including
the distinguished “Technology Pioneer” award at the World
Economic Forum in Davos.
Prior to that, she managed her own professional photography studio
and worked at a new media software company designing and developing
interactive software and games.
Zuckerman holds a professional degree in photography and new media.
Her areas of expertise include photography, human-computer interaction,
mixed media art, and interactive installations.
Moving portraits is a life long project that evolves over the years
exploring portraiture in the 21st century, looking at portraiture
history, identity and technology as the building stones of the work.
