Most of us have been acculturated to not express in
public. But at the same time in our culture we have talk
shows, reality TV, and online chatrooms through which to tell
all. These scenarios, characterized by extreme sacrifice of
privacy, seem to take advantage of the seeming safety of media
culture and mediated communication. AgoraPhone combines
mediated communication and public space, with some interesting
and potentially vital results.
Here is a woman having a pretty intense and emotional
exchange through AgoraPhone. She does not seem to mind that
others are experiencing her conversation.
