Constructionist Design

An Immersive Workshop on the Design
of Learning Tools and Environments

Hosted by Learning Lab Denmark

May 26-30, 2003

This short course builds on the philosophical and theoretical foundations of constructionism as a paradigm for formulating and evaluating new theories for learning and approaches to education.

In particular, we will focus on Constructionism as a framework
for design and evaluation of tools, activities, and environments
that can facilitate powerful authentic learning experiences.

Through hands-on design activities and close examination of some
of the foundational works in constructionism, workshop participants
will have a chance to reflect on and critique the constructionist
design principles that guide the work of many learning
researchers and learning technology designers.
