Digital Image and Signal Processing (DISiP) Workgroup
Form a workgroup on Digital Image and Signal Processing (DISiP) technologies and its applications comprising consultants working for different customers in this area. Its goals are to exchange and capitalize knowledge, develop new fields of expertise, and create a network inside and outside the company. Activities include conferences, workshops, publication of articles and reports, a press review, training and support, student coaching, etc. Workgroup sessions are open to all — customers as well as university professors and students. There are no confidentiality issues since only public-domain information is discussed.

Responsibilities
• Published the initial framework and guidelines for expert workgroups within the company.
• Presented a paper on perceptual audio coding, and organized a workgroup on the future of audio.
• Developed a coordination platform for offshore relationship management and Software Subcontract Management (SEI SW-CMM Level 3 KPA).
• Coached junior consultants in project management.
• Proposed and implemented communication activities to promote the company’s technical expertise and create new opportunities with prospective customers and students, and European scientific organizations.

Development and optimization of a low-level application to control a multi-processor multi-head color printer through a high-speed serial port.
• Introduced research and development methodology guidelines to the project leadership.
