I recently participated in the MIT 100K Competition with Tiago Wright and Vikrham Anreddy. Our entry, Sensaction, is based on the BiDi Screen project, which was my Masters Thesis work at the MIT Media Lab.

We won the Mobile Track!

We were mentioned in the Boston Herald and on Xconomy.

Course notes for SIGGRAPH 2011 Build Your Own 3D Display

Informaiton Ecology graduates John Kestner and David Carr are launching their Internet of Things company. If enough people order it, Supermechanical will make a really neat little wifi device and cloud service called Twine, for hooking up sensors to social media. It includes a temperature sensor and a motion detector, as well as ports for connecting other things. Check it out!

About me

I'm a Ph.D. student at the MIT Media Lab. I work with Henry Holtzman's Information Ecology Group and Ramesh Raskar's Camera Culture Group. I graduated from Tufts University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. I worked from 2004 to 2007 at Analogic Corp. as an Imaging Engineer, where I designed threat detection algorithms for Computed Tomography security scanners. I'm interested in all kinds of imaging devices, and using them to enable new understanding and interaction.
