  Beat:Machine is a beat tracking system that measures the rate of the step of the user. This rate is translated to a beats per minute (BPM) value that is then applied to a number of different applications, such as the automatic generation of a playlist based on the impact & stride of step or the synchronization of electronic and acoustic instruments in live musical performance settings.
