Interests:

  • programming by demonstration (ProDeGE+)
  • man machine interfaces
  • visualization of programs
  • combination of automatic methods (machine learning) and interaction
  • Current Project:

Development of a programming by demonstration system that enables user to demonstrate programs with multiple action sequences. The PbD system is applied to a 2D-graphics domain (ProDeGE+=Programming by Demonstration Graphics editor with extendable domain theory).

The main focus of my research is on new matching and generation mechanism which support the derivation of complex program structures that meat the user's intention. Based on a small set of demonstrated action sequences this problem is hard to solve. Therefore, additional interactions between users and the PbD system are introduced. They support the correct derivation of interpretations and program structures. Interactions are performed at menus, forms, metacalculator and the 2D-History Board (see details in St. Louis paper).
