Interests: CSCW, CSCP, low-tech "VR" (e.g., MUDs), and smoothing out the learning curve.

Project: Starting up LabSpace a(nother) CSCW project based on MUD software.

I want to see what PB[DE] techniques can do to ease customization of the shared environment. For example, the underlying software currently has a system by which messages can be generated depending on the participants in an action: "%Nd %n:(turns) on %td." can turn into "Bob turns on the electron microscope." and "You turn on the electron microscope." This system can be hard to learn; instead, I'd like users to be able to _start_ from English examples and work iteratively with the system to develop the generalization.
