Young activists and volunteers celebrating
the end of a successful project (Charlestown, MA) |
Welcome
to YAN
Come
join the Young Activists Network and
make a difference in your neighborhood! As part of YAN
projects will get to meet a lot of interesting people,
use cool multimedia technology, learn to carry community
change, and have lots of fun! |
|
We
aim to organize youth to become agents
of change in their neighborhood. Young
people usually have the time, the energy, the
will, the basic skills, and the right to participate
and help improve the quality of life in the places
where they live. What they lack is appropriate
space, support and recognition. |

YAN helps transform
existing community technology centers into community
empowering spaces that offer the basic
technical and human resources necessary to foster
sustainable youth-led social change.

The
Young Activists Network seeks new members for
its volunteer task force to develop new tools,
activities, and support materials. We work in
partnership with existing community initiatives
and focus on youth participation, concrete community
challenges, and contextualized uses of technology. |
