hands

In between 1995 and 1997, I had explored a series of hand images and its semiotic social implications. By transfoming the essence of hands - from grasping (possession, relativity, communication) to touching (hearing, connecting, indirect), I tried to convey the identity of our social landscape in conjunction with the image production.

rooms

In between 1997 and 1999, I mainly reflected my given living circumstances as a social alien. For me, a room was the most inquisitive psycho-social space. Naturally I worked on a series of of enclosure, called room. By either displacing its subjectivity. or transforming it into metaphysically constructed architectonics. The moment when I realize there is no private space, but a physically divided enclosure, was the greatest discovery.

thresholds

In between 1998 and 2000, I explored the seductive relationship between image and reality through redefining thresholds between two space such as inside and outside. . As a process of site-specific works served to create notions of fictitious spaces suggested from within the confines of conventional spaces.

measuers
In between 1998 and 2001, I worked on a series of handheld measuring tool with digital functionality. By building a computational reconstuctive system that bridges physical measuring and virtual modeling, I could apply a conceptual idea of measuring to an interface design.
