I am a second-year master's student at the MIT Media Lab, where I am a member of the Opera of the Future research group. My current research work explores the intersection of performance, gesture, and music. I am also particularly interested in the ways that technology and the arts can combine to create new means of expression and qualities of experience.
My background is in the performing arts (including stage and costume design, choreography, and stage direction), and computer science. I graduated from Amherst College in the spring of 2008 with a double major in Computer Science and Theater and Dance and began my studies at the Media Lab in the fall of 2008.
