I am a graduate student in the Viral Communications Group at the MIT Media Lab. My research focuses on Viral Wireless Networks. I work with Dr Andy Lippman and Dr David Reed. As of June 2006, I am a Student Associate at SRI International in Menlo Park, California working under Dr Grit Denker.

I was a Reuters Foundation Fellow with the Digital Vision Fellowship Program at Stanford University during 2004-2005. I looked at issues involved in providing education to the underprivileged in India.

Previously, I was a Guest Scientist with Siemens Corporate Technology in Munich, Germany. My work involved exploring the potential use of Policy Based Network Management in Optical Transport Networks. My supervisors were Dr Achim Autenrieth and Vivek Kulkarni.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronic Engineering from the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad in June 2004. As an undergraduate, I worked on a cognition based congestion detection mechanism for Delay Tolerant Networks (with particular emphasis on the InterPlanetary Internet). My official advisor on this project was Dr Vishnu Priye, and my mentors were Scott Burleigh, Dr Vint Cerf and Adrian Hooke.
