hunter hunter is an imaginary tool of the future. Its binary moral code is to punish aggression with aggression, bullet for bullet.

Loud noises, transduced to electrical signals and then quantized to digital information, enter a Fourier transform, and are then fed to a neural network pattern recognition system, allowing hunter hunter to discern and triangulate upon gunshots through a sensor/servo loop. It then aims and fires a 9mm bullet (inner city option) back.

I envision hunter hunter used wherever people are killing: Quelling poachers in Kenya, butchers in Bosnia, and gangsters in Chicago. While hunter hunter's motors whir and gag, scientists at Stanford and MIT, grown adults, attempt to derive aspects of human and animal intelligence, in order to build more powerful weapons.

hunter hunter is partly a recognition of my media's roots: The computer was invented to calculate artillery trajectories, and much of my inventory of parts trickled to me through military surplus.

I envision robots acting as "familiars," experiencing aspects of the world which we cannot, and then sharing them with us. None of these will shoot, probably.
