I've been interested in following politics for a long time, ever since the election of 1988.

After a mildly interesting presidential primary, we're stuck with Al Gore and George W. Bush as our presidential candidates. Quite simply, I can't believe it.

I'm also quite concerned with human rights around the world, particularly in Asia. Not surprisingly, Human Rights Watch, the Helsinki-based organization, has a homepage.

I'm interested in foreign politics, as well. I was hoping that Alexander Lebed would one day become president of Russia. I think he's definitely the right man for the job. Russia needs to stop being run like a South-American Banana Republic in the pocket of the US and more like a normal country. A biography of Alexander Lebed is available at Russia Today. There is also an Alexander Lebed Fan Page on the Web. The Words of Lebed make great reading.

However, we seem to received Alexander Putin as president of Russia, who has been shaping up to be quite interesting.
