International workshop on creative media making and sharing

Principle Teenagers create their movie segments (Video Builders). They perform their movie in real time by telling a story, story that uses the personally designed video clips (Video Jokeys). The video clips can be their own or the ones of others.

Example As shown in the picture bellow, three countries could have their Video Jokey who would tell a short story, "I was at home" . The computer then plays for the same story three different videos . In this example, each Video Jokey is using his/her personal 'country' database, and the Video Jokeys (as well as their audience) watch in real time the movie segments associated with the sentence "I was at home"; they can by themselves notice meaningful information through visual media for the same storytelling .

Hypothesis How might teenagers engage debates with their spectators about the technological environment we live in? How can the spectators respond and participate in the creation during this process? What role does this dynamic play in the process of creation and reflection? .
