2.744 Product Design - MIT Spring 1996
Professor Woodie Flowers and Dave Wallace
A hand-held device which receives constant weather, traffic, and news
updates from a radio source. The ergonomically designed shape can be
grasped single-handedly by either hand. The device can be used in the dark;
the light-up buttons make it easy to pick the correct information channel.
The middle buttons are for contrast, con
trol and power. The device displays by
default the relevant information for the
immediate vicinity of the user within a 5
to 30 mile radius, depending on the that
the settings the user has chosen.
